Forum: classic_tv Subject: A PD Question and In Memorium: The Gene Autry Show

I never looked at the twenty episodes of Gene Autry I downloaded (I've got nothing against Gene), but then I discovered the up to date copyright info after they ride off each time. Gene was reckoned a businessman's cowboy, and I guess he was. So long, pard.

I have a reason, on the other hand, not to like Sergeant Preston of the Yukon. I sent everything in about 1955 (ok, mom did, but she never missed) for the Sgt. Preston Geiger Counter. Probably, it was a combination of boxtops and coins. I'm still waiting, but nowadays when I go out to the box, I've all but given up hope. I have no idea about the roentgen count around the house, although everything seems ok for now.

My PD question is vis a vis Petticoat Junction (lots of curves you bet--I'm talking about the train tracks, of course). Some part of season 1 is PD, but I can't pin down what part. Any Hooterville devotees out there, or is everybody playing with their 3D glasses today?

I am. I got a whole disc of the shows. I look forward to more. The more movement in the shows(when characters move)
the better.
